Assistance For Staff
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The University offers counselling services to Macquarie University full time or part time staff members. Staff can attend either of two external EAP providers – Relationships Australia or Davidson Trahaire Corpsych.
The EAP providers offer a confidential, short-term counselling service. The University will pay for a maximum of five sessions. Staff will be asked to provide their staff number to verify eligibility but the invoice to the University does not convey this. Your identity and issues remain confidential between you and the provider.
The EAP can assist staff individually in a number of ways, which may include the following issues:
- Psychological /emotional problems such as anxiety, depression
- Relationship issues

- Personal concerns which may be adversely affecting work performance
- Communicating and relating effectively with others
